Dentures
If you think it’s time to finally get dentures - or if you have existing dentures that are old, uncomfortable, or unsightly, you’ve come to the right place!
Traditional dentures or dentures with implants are an appropriate treatment for those patients who are missing all or almost all of their teeth. Dentures are removable, custom-made artificial teeth made from acrylic materials. With cosmetic advancements in dental materials, dentures have come a long way in recent years, and the result is a look and feel that is much more natural.
Custom Traditional Dentures
At A Glowing Smile Dental Care, we take your dental health and esthetics seriously. At your first appointment, Dr. Dicello will perform a comprehensive examination of your teeth and gums to determine if dentures are right for you. During your exam, Dr. Dicello will make sure that you have enough gum support to hold your denture in place, that your jaws line up and that your facial esthetics will be enhanced by a denture. Once Dr. Dicello has been established that dentures are the best fit for your needs, our dental professionals will take an impression of your gums and ridges for our dental lab to create a perfectly fitting denture.
Every patient has different needs, and at our Peoria dentaloffice, we work with each patient to ensure that their results are both attractive and comfortable.
Implant-Supported Dentures
We’ve all heard the stories from family and friends who are dissatisfied with loose or otherwise ill-fitting dentures. Well, you don’t need to worry about loose-fitting dentures when you choose an implant-supported denture. An implant-supported denture means that you have 2-4 implants placed into the gums that act as anchors for your denture. You simply snap your denture into place.
Implant-supported dentures are a terrific option for patients who are missing most of their teeth, as they provide patients with the priceless freedom to eat their favorite foods and smile confidently in any situation.
Dentures without the Wait
Some patients don’t want to wait six weeks after they’ve had their last teeth extracted. Often, these patients don’t want to be without teeth for an extended period of time for social reasons. We understand. For these patients, a denture can be delivered immediately after the last tooth is extracted, so a patient can have their teeth extracted and have their dentures placed immediately. This means you won’t have to experience weeks without teeth while you are waiting for your dentures - instead, you would be able to leave the dental office with dentures that same day.
